The President is the official representative of the Corporation, representing the undergraduate student body at meetings of the Faculty and Alumni Boards. He shall preside at the Corporation's meetings, and he shall have ultimate responsibility for proper observance of all responsibilities delegated to members of the Board of Directors.
The current President of the Corporation is Caleb E. Ng. Caleb has previously served as the ASCIT Director for Academic Affairs and as a student representative on many committees, including the Council on Undergraduate Education and the Committee on the Caltech Student Experience and Student Affairs. He was elected President on January 28, 2008, and he will serve in the position until February 2009.

Steering Committee
As President, Caleb has formed the ASCIT Steering Committee as an Administrative Committee. The Steering Committee will meet at least once per term at the call of the President. The membership of the Steering Committee will be:

Board of Directors
In accordance with ASCIT Article IV, Section 3, the President shall be chairman, without vote unless a tie occurs, of the Board of Directors.

Executive Committee
In accordance with ASCIT Article IV, Section 3, and ASCIT Article VI, the President shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall consist of between four and eight ASCIT members who are also registered Caltech undergraduates appointed at the beginning of third term by the President with the approval of the Board of Directors.
The Executive Committee shall have the power to interpret the bylaws. It shall also have the sole power to consider the validity of protests, including protests over whether a petition or amendment concerns the Board of Control. It shall also have the sole power to reschedule invalidated elections. It shall have the power to appoint persons to fill vacancies in the Board of Directors temporarily. It shall be responsible for the investigation of such corporate problems as are delegated to it by the Board of Directors. Finally, it shall assist the President in coordinating activities of the Corporation.

President's Staff
In accordance with ASCIT BoD Resolution VI, the ASCIT BoD shall appoint members of the President's Staff upon the recommendation of President. The Staff assist the President in the performance of his office and assume responsibilities as arranged with the President. These responsibilities may concern broad areas or specific programs. The Staff position offers a special opportunity for creative work.
