Ekta Bhojwani

The past few years have involved pulling numerous all-nighters due to unending sets and planning social events. Through my experiences, I’ve learnt a lot about myself, my peers, and Caltech. I can see myself as ASCIT president because I have the qualities and experience needed by a leader.

Firstly, as current Social Director, I have helped coordinate social activities for the undergraduates. While events like Interhouse, ASCIT formal, or barbeques seem like small things, they enrich a Techer’s life. I know that Caltech is a stressful place, and improving quality of life is a key responsibility of the student government.

Secondly, I have served on the Academics and Research Committee. Not only did I help coordinate the Student-Faculty Conference, but also I am aware of the issues that plague undergraduates. I have a good rapport with the administration, which will help me take your problems to them.

Finally, I am Ekta. By electing me, you get a workaholic who automatically takes responsibility of projects and events. I am also a sociable person who will be available to anyone who wants to voice his or her opinion.

I hope to see the BoD to take more active role in the future year. My agenda includes improving the quality of student publications, opening up a more active line of communication between students and faculty, and having more activities for undergraduates, amongst other things. So, do the best thing for yourself by electing me as ASCIT president. Thank you.
