The past year has seen a great deal of change for the better in the structure of both the ASCIT BoD and the honor system. The selection of the first Honor Chair is perhaps the most important decision you have as voters because whoever is elected to this position will set the tone for all subsequent Honor Chairs. If the person who gets this position does not have a clear sense of its purpose, the office will inevitably be misused.

I believe that I am the best candidate for this position – I worked very closely with the previous BoC Chairs, Mike Grinolds and Jean Sun, to push for the recent bylaw changes that created the ASCIT VP/Honor Chair position, and I understand the original purpose of the office. As the CRC Student Chair, I have experience as a member of the ASCIT BoD and will work to make a more proactive student government that seeks out ways to help the student body. I also know the majority of the administration personally, which will facilitate communication between ASCIT and the Caltech administrators. Most importantly as ASCIT VP, I will help to fill the gap in the Caltech honor system by representing the undergrad honor code as a whole and use my experience to represent the student body to the faculty on all honor code related issues.
